Local Driver / Class A
Class A Truck Driver
Do you love driving a truck but hate having to spend many nights spent away from home? Do you have experience in roll-offs, end-dumps, walking floors, Landolls, or lowboys if so, as long as you live within a reasonable commute of our terminal in Gilroy, we want to talk to you. You might flourish in one our open positions for a local Truck Driver. We are looking for safe, courteous drivers who value a predictable schedule. Our company makes safety our number one priority, which is reflected in our impeccable safety record. We maintain our entire fleet with dedicated precision, and we don’t employ owner-operators, so we retain control over our vehicles. We pay weekly and offer great benefits.
Responsibilities of Truck Driver:
- Safety is Job #1
- Complete a daily truck log and submit reports of mileage covered at EOD
- Manage routes and routines so they proceed in the most efficient way possible.
- Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules.
- Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately.
- Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle at the beginning and end of the shift and report any problems or damage to management.
- Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public.
- Find ways to conserve resources, including fuel, to benefit the business.
- High school diploma/GED required.
- We are a smoke free workplace, and no smoking, vaping or chewing is allowed at our facilities, on our equipment or in our trucks.
- Sometimes our drivers are required to go out of town to drive a bus, truck or other piece of equipment back which would require an overnight stay or two at a hotel provided by the company.
- Our drivers are required to train on multiple types of trucks and trailers such as roll-off, walking floors, end dumps, landolls, lowboys, flatbeds, dry vans, etc.
- Tarping, tying down, walking loads, climbing up and down trailers and inspecting loads.
- Checking and filling out all paperwork thoroughly.
- Taking pictures of loads as required.
- Taking care of assigned trucks and trailers by keeping them clean at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications needed:
- Class A driver’s license in good standing
- No serious tickets or accidents in the last 4 years
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- High School diploma or GED
- The desire to be part of a successful team

Salary: $26.00 – $28.00 per hour is the starting pay range for those with less then 5 years commercial driving experience and those who only have experience in walking floors, roll off trucks or no experience in any of the types of equipment used by our drivers. For those with many years of experience with landolls and lowboys moving equipment we are open to a higher starting pay depending on experience and DMV printout.Supplemental pay types:

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safety is job #1
- Maintains advanced knowledge to diagnose and repair mechanical problems on heavy equipment.
- Performs repair or preventative maintenance on electrical, diesel and gasoline vehicles, including forklifts, skid steer, excavator, wheel loader, and other vehicles to maximize safe and productive operations. Typical repairs and maintenance would include work on engines, transmissions, chassis, drivelines and body components, hydraulic, brake, electrical and suspension systems, wheels, tires and undercarriages.
- Reads and interprets equipment condition reports and/or repair orders, communicate with supervisor and/or operator for clarification of defects and discuss preventive techniques with operators to minimize future repairs.
- Completes paperwork associated with repairing equipment, documenting parts usage and accounting for applied times (i.e., work order times compared to time card times).
- Collects and interprets analyses from oil sampling, on-board computer, and fleet management software.
- Follows all safety policies and procedures.
- Performs overhauls on gas or diesel engines.
- Performs tire changes and repairs as need.
- Completes all other assigned tasks in a timely manner.

Dismantler/Torch Cutter Job description
Pacific Coast Recycling Inc. is looking for two people to join our growing team as Dismantlers. These are fulltime year-round jobs that do require working on Saturdays with Sundays and a fixed day off during the week. We value our team members and realize that the only way we can be successful is if our team members are successful. Job Requirements:
